Coffee Sensory Workshop
Cordoba, Mexico, October 2024
TWICE was asked to join the Women Powered Coffee Summit (WPCS) in Cordoba Mexico to conduct a sensory workshop with women producers who are participating in the event. For the workshop, we created a sensory form to aid in analysis and descriptions during a formal cupping environment. Our goal is to make cupping and sensory analysis more accessible, and familiar for people who don’t have access to formal SCA sensory training, and who may feel intimidated in formal business environments.
We conducted a simplified cupping experience for about 70 people, using 3 different coffees from 3 different countries. Participants varied from being completely new to the experience to being seasoned cuppers. We had great feedback and success!
